Spring Break in the Nation's Capital

We're back in Washington, D.C. this weekend with the Morrisons. Listen in as they visit an amusement park, help out a family in need, and maybe hear the President speak. You can share your opinion on "Spring Broke" (either on the two parts as a whole or just on part two), which we'll share with the DGL fan community on our next podcast. In addition to the questions from last week, here's two more that you might like to consider in your review.
  • Do you think Justin acts too selfishly in this episode, or is Brooke's unselfish attitude a little too much?
  • This episodes contains a "bonus scene" in which Justin meets someone very special in the elevator. What do you think of this scene?
Of course, feel free to comment on whatever else comes to mind! Submit your reviews to slowwalkdgl@gmail.com or leave a blog comment below. Make sure you have your parents' permission first (if you're a young person) and make sure you get your thoughts to us by lunchtime on Monday!

Hints for the SceneWhat? Competition

Have you listened to our twelfth podcast yet? If not, scroll down and download it--you won't be sorry! :-D Once you've heard it, send us your answer for this week's competition. And, as promised, here's a few hints for those of you struggling with connecting these two scenes with a DGL episode:
  • These scenes come from a Season Two episode.
  • If you look at the list of characters appearing in S2 episodes, you'll find "Dave" and "Burger Basket Girl" listed.
  • Why not look at this list of S2 episodes on DGL Wiki and glance through the episode descriptions and character listings?
Hope these hints help, guys! We're looking forward to getting too many entries to fit into a hat this week! :-D

S-8a "Spring Broke, 1"

Happy Spring Break, everyone! DGL is observing this not-so-important holiday by playing the two-part special "Spring Broke" (s-8 [special 8], episodes 57-58). Take a listen to the Morrison family vacationing in Washington, D.C. and see what you think!
  • Have you ever visited Washington, D.C.? If so, does the depiction of the Morrison's sightseeing ring true? If not, does it make you want to visit the city?
  • Do you think the Morrisons are "in character" in this episode?
  • Do you find that this show presents a relatable portrayal of helping others and being a missionary wherever you go?
We'll be recording a separate podcast for each part of this special, so if you'd rather wait until both parts have aired to comment then that's fine. However, if you want to comment on just part one we need your review by noon Monday. :-)

  • This show has some of the most intense scenes of Season One. Do you think these scenes are good and are handled in a realistic manner?
