6-5 "Hometown Heroes, 1"

It's football time in Coleraine! Which means lot of dramatic tension in this week's episode, "Hometown Heroes, 1"!
  • Did the fact that this was a sports-heavy episode make you like it less or more?
  • What do you think of the beginning of Caleb and Anthony's friendship?
  • Did you think Maya was a good witness? What did you think of the talk between her and Grace?
You have until 2PM Thursday (August 4) to get your thoughts in. :-)

  1. Hi, Daniel & Dave!

    > Did the fact that this was a sports-heavy episode make you like it less or more?

Slightly less. I got quite confused with the play-by-play radio since I didn't know what a lot of the stuff is. "Hail Mary" to me is something a Catholic does on a rosary . (I looked it up on Wikipedia afterwards, but I didn't know what it meant at the time that I was listening.)

I also got confused by the starting scene of Zach trying to tune the radio. At first I thought, "Hey, am I having network problems? The sound is skipping all over the place!" Haha!

However, I still very much enjoyed this episode.

It's cool! I really like the way Caleb is changing. Is this the season he gets saved in? You can see he's not the pure self-centred brat he used to be.

    > Did you think Maya was a good witness? What did you think of the talk between her and Grace?

Poor Maya! She tried so hard with Tiffany, and it seemed like she was finally getting somewhere, then Tiffany goes off all on a totally different tangent!

Grace and Mary are both about 30 years older than Maya? So that means that Grace is about the same age? And she was a little girl when Tom caused the car crash that killed her parents, so I guess this means Tom is considerably older than Mary, and presumably than John, too.

Anyway, as usual, Grace gives good wisdom-filled advice.

And unbeknownst to Maya, she's been a really good witness to Caleb.

    God bless,
    Ian

  2. There was supposed to be a "grin" after ""Hail Mary" to me is something a Catholic does on a rosary" but unfortunately I used < and > to set it off, which got interpreted as an HTML tag, so it didn't show up :-(

I forgot that these comments take HTML... I used the HTML code for < and > in this comment, so that they would show up :-)

  3. I love that fact that it’s a sports episode. I like all sports and love it when they’re featured in any episode.
I think Anthony is a really good influence on Caleb. I like hearing how their friendship develops.
I think Maya is a good witness. Her family sees how different she is from what she was before and even though they may be annoyed by it they can still see God shining through.
I’ve always liked Grace and Maya’s relationship. I think Grace really encouraged Maya in her faith and helped her see that even though it may not look like it she really is making a difference.
This is one of my favorite episodes of season 6. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars!

  4. Hi Guys!
    I liked the sports episodes!
Anthony and Caleb's friendship is great! I wish I was that I could be as good of a witness as Anthony!
Maya was a good witness too! That's a hard situation! It's good that Maya has Grace to talk to and encourage her!
I loooove Season Six, so I'll give this episode a 4.5 out of 5!
    See ya next time,
    Gabby
